My 8-year-old daughter wants to learn how to decorate cakes, so I helped her with this little practice cake. I helped her with smoothing the orange buttercream, and she did all of the black outlines and facial fill-ins. I helped her with the pumpkin vines (fondant), and she made the leaves...which you can't see well on this pic. She also formed the stem by herself. It's a slow process, but she does show some potential....a little at a time!
