Pirate Birthday Cake
This is a choklate cake covered with red marsipan for a 5 year old boys pirate themed birthday party. Just about everything went wrong with this cake :( I had made pirate swords from fondant, but they were not dry enough and broke while I was putting them on, so I had to make the flag in front to cover that up. The borders done with royal icing was a disaster... The only thing that came out like I had planned was the top tier with the pirate skull and the treasure map.
