This cake is for a baptisim, it is a french vinalla cake with fondant accents and strawberry filling. The cross gave me a hard time and I need work on my lettering but over all I am thrilled of the outcome of my second fondant decorated cake.
Thank you for all the great comments. I free formed the hand, it took me about two tries, I did not use any fondant tools for anything in this cake, A tooth pick and knife were my only tools. (I do not have fondant tools yet) But as for the hand, I took fondant and layed it on my hand pulled up the fingers where they should go and continued shapping and forming until it looked like a hand. I then took a knife and drew some lines to make it look more like a hand. Thank you again!!
Neat idea,it shows what a baptisim is really about.
Sweet idea. I like your christening gown.
very unique idea . . . you have a good reason to be thrilled ;-D
Oh, WOW! What a GREAT idea ! How did you do the hand ?
I too like the hand idea, keep baking!!
