Our daughter's wedding cake, taken before brown ribbon was added to board. 14" x 6" / 11" x 6"/ 8" x 6" - fruit cake covered in marzipan and fondant. Design inspiration taken from brides dress, hemline to be exact...
Hey everyone, thanks for the comments!!! The 'flowers' were simply circles cut in 3 sizes, sm/med/lg then edges thinned with a ball tool, and pinched from the middle in random form. No two are alike, and I used a liner from a box of chocolates as my 'cups' to stand them in while they hardened. All done in gumpaste. Used a drop of royal to 'stick' to cake, largest at the bottom, with a few of the other sizes thrown in here and there.
p.s. I also used gold DRAGEES here and there on the flowers...don't know if you can see them...using royal icing once again to 'stick' in place......al
