Well, this is my first try at a gift box cake.. Its just a yellow cake, with green BC and pink fondant ribbon an bow. I have such a hard time trying to get my buttercream smooth! I havnt taken any classes, perhaps I should.. I even tried using the paper towel method. What a disaster! It sooo didnt work for me.. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong, I thought maybe it was too thickly put on so I took some off, waited till it crusted, and it still didnt do anything for me..Oh well. Any tips?
