The golf ball is the sports ball pan. I iced it with the thinned buttercream that it talks about in the instructions, and then used one of my flower former tools to make the indentions in the icing. Thanks for the comment.

Wonderful job! Can you please tell me if you can do the golf ball - bc crust and indentions the night before its served- if so so i refridgerate the completed ball?

I'm sorry that I'm just now reading this question. This was the first (and only) golf ball cake that I have done. Since it was the first, I actually did this a few nights before with bc to maks sure I could do it. I thought it was a shame to waste it since it turned out looking allright, so I wrapped it up and stuck it in the freezer. I thawed it out the day of in the wrappings and put it on the cake. There were no complaints from the lady who bought it. She kept telling me how good it was.
