I made this for a reception at my church when I lived in Coconut Grove, FL (part of Miami). It for our recotor in celebration of his years in the priesthood. If I had done this today, I would have piped around the edge of the cardboard for the cross to cover it up. Since it is an older pic and had to be scanned in it is not easy to see the details on the roses. The cakes are entirely buttercream.
