String Practice
Practice cake to use up extra frosting and work on my BC only decorating skills. Design based on one in a Wilton book and I'm pretty happy with how it came out-I'd keep the lower string work white like the rest next time :) Chocolate cake, espresso cream filing, white chocolate BC. All comments appreciate and thanks for looking!

It's really cute. And I'm impressed too on how smooth your bc is.
This is very very nice! The blue strings on the bottom are a very popular accent on some of Toba Garrett's cakes. But of course it's a matter of personal opinion. I think it looks just fine. Are you pulling your string slightly away from the side of the cake and then bringing it back in as you get to the end point?
I should say that the addition of a different color for the strings on the bottom border is a popular technique.....
