This cake was subjected to many disasters and was finally rescued. Hence the bad look on the icing. I planned to cover it with pink fondant. I made the MMfondant a week ago and tried to soften it with a little too much shortening! The MMF kept tearing and sliding off the cake, I gave up and smoothed the buttercream and added the flowers and the badly made booties! At least the booties were small enough to hold the MMF. Any suggestions on what I could have done? I could not even think, being 8+ mnths preg.
