This is so beautiful! One could really apply this design to Chinese weddings also! (in fact from the thumbnail-I thought it was!)

than you all so much. Truth be told, I wasn't happy with it overall. I loved the piping, which I did ahead of time for about a week on a nightly basis. I used a number of different plain writing tips, no star:) Then I got the flu......I kept my hands clean and muddled through with 102 fever for 2 days. I had such an impossible time with getting a polished look at that point. It's not sharp, which I think it had to be. I guess my underlying coat of buttercream wasn't thick enough? any tips appreciated!!

This is such a bold look, not for wallflowers!! I love it! Your piping work is worth it's weight in gold! (real gold, or luster... either way! hahaha!)

I think someone said that a too thick coat of BC will make it hard to get crisp corners? Not sure though! You might want to start a thread.... GL! Love this cake! I want to try something like this for my SIL who is chinese maybe with a character to represent her?
