Thanks everyone!! For the borders I striped a bag with 4 deep lines of Americolor Super Red then filled the bag with frosting. A good way to do this and not mess up the white icing is to pipe the white icing into the striped bag. I fill a bag with white frosting, cut a large tip off the bag then pipe it straight down into my striped bag. The border is made using tip 18, making hooked candy cane shapes as you go.

Wow, that is one adorable cake! Please give us pointers to get the striped borders. Mine start out okay, but end up a muddy pink :cry:
