Lord Of The Rings Cake

This cake was originally designed for the OSSAS wedding division, which had to be based on something from "Tinsal Town." I chose to base it off of the trilogy, "The Lord of the Rings." Unfortunately, I didn't finish it in time. :( After so much investment though, I had to finish it for myself. So, here's the finished product, with a lovely backdrop! Everything is fondant or gumpaste, except for the wire holding the pendant, and the sugar jewels in the top pendant.

It is exceptional and I am so sorry you weren't able to enter it because I really believe it would have placed in the top 3 of your division. Beautifully done!

I'm speechless 8O ... really! My sister would love the theme for this cake ... I'm not a big fan of the books but your detailing almost makes me want to go raid my sister's library and read about it  ... love the ornate details contrasted with the bricks ... seriously this is beautiful (I really like the backdrop ... even if you're only joking!)

My DD's name is Arwen  , and I never even thought of replicating the Evenstar pendant for her cakes; this is a definate inspiration for a future one! She's 3, so I gotta wait until she's out of the Dora & such stages. But I love this cake, absolutely perfect, absolutely beautiful!
