btw - i know what nougat is, but how does that translate into a cake recipe? please share......:)
Sorry, Sirius, I think my english es not good enough for this. Nougat is a typical christmas sweet here, in Spain, an almond paste. I used a madeira sponge cake but, in the begining, I mixed some smashed nougat with the butter (a half of the butter total weight). As a filling I used again smashed nougat and light cheese cream (the same weight of cheese anda nougat) with a little touch of cinnamon and some Frangelico liqueur.
This is the kind of nougat I used in my recipe
