Gift Box

For my good friend's birthday. Triple chocolate cake with peanut butter and chocolate fudge like filling (tried something new...we'll see :)) Iced in BC with fondant accessories. I WISH I could make a fondant bow. This is the best I could do. TFL

I like these color combinations, but I think the cake board would have blended better if it had been covered in a color shade used in the cake. I too think the bow is cute and very original.I have yet to be able to accomplish a bow! when adding fondant pieces to BC icing, I would say do not push them in so hard as to cause the icing to come up around the pieces. You want to add them on top the icing, not in the icing.

The cake board draws attention away from the cake but the cake itself is wonderful! I love the bright colors and your bow is too cute!

Wow, my eyes are bugging out this has some wild colors and a wild cake board, seems too much for me. Now this is me again, but there are a few colors I have issue eating as you know in my other comments and green is one of those colors. I think what would have worked better is a white cake with pink, green and lavendar circles. I do adore your little bow with the button it is cute.

Critique Group Member: I love the colors. As the others mentioned I would choose a different board cover. I know I mentioned on a similar cake of yours how to remedy the b/c from squishing through and around the fondant but another thing that would help is to roll out your fondant super thin. Overall I think it's really cute.
