jojo0676 Says... 7 years ago

That is so cool, what did you use for the wicks?

melissa043 Says... 7 years ago

for the wicks i was going to use black string licorice...but i couldnt find any. So i just lit a candle & blew it out (so you would see black) and then pushed the candle far down into the cake so just the wick showed.

dragonflydreams Says... 7 years ago

these are great . . . you could actually leave the candles useable if you didn't push them right down into the cake (that might be nice too) . . . how did you wrap them in white chocolate? and is renuka's recipe posted here? once again . . . beautiful job . . . love it ;-D

melissa043 Says... 7 years ago

the candles were actually still usable i lit them at the party for a few minutes. And i found a sugar glaze recipe on cc but it wasnt the same as renukas. I will PM it to you and explain the choc. wrap too.

Very cool. They look like real candles! If I had seen these on a table I would have thought them a centerpiece! Nice work!

So cute! When you bake cake in a can, what temp do you use and how long do you bake them? Well done!

servingzero Says... 7 years ago

they look just like candles!!! wow! kudos on this cake

melissa043 Says... 7 years ago

it was a box cake mix so i just did what the box said which was 325º and just kept checking on them until they looked done.
