I apologize for the fuzzy looking lettering. They were really quite good - bad photo. My first time using FMM alphabet cutter. They're a dream to work with! :D
Critique subgroup member: Welcome to our group! This composition is adorable. The colors are perfect and your cake board is great. Your details such as the design on the blanket and the little light are fantastic. Two things the would have worked better are the handwriting on the crib. Since these were not to be eaten, I would have printed a computer copy and traced it onto crib. Then the strips. I would have made a pattern. Sugarflowers did one in her video for a striped bow. PM me if you want directions.
critique group member: how is it that you put the best looking cake for us to critique!? I think this is perfect! the crib is just perfect and I love the look of the writing and drawings on it...how did you get it so tiny?! your walls make it looks so sweet and the light is a VERY nice touch!
critique subgroup member: Wow -- this is such a lot of detail and so well executed. I love the colors. Each time I look at the cake, I see something new. I love the crib, the writing, and the bear especially. If I had to be picky, I would say that the blanket seems a little stiff, but then it could be like one of those stiffer quilts, which I'm not fond of anyway, but that's just me, not you. Excellent job with the crib and the walls. I can see why you hated to see this one go, but I know they loved it!
Critique Subgroup Member: This is a great cake! I love all the details - especially all the accessories in the crib, and of course the light is amazing! Your cake board is nicely decorated, i love the ball border. The only thing I see that could use a little improvement are the painted stripes on the wall. They appear a little smudged or it could be the photo. This is a great cake!
critique subgroup member: Great Cake! love this idea. your cradle is perfect and I love the pattern of the quilt. my critiques would be that carrying the pattern of the quilt to the curtains, is too busy with the stripes of the walls. the horizontal blue curtain clashes with the vertical stripes of the wall. I think had you used tape on the walls like one would on a real wall before painting, when you pull the tape away, you would have ended up with sharp crisp and very straight painted lines.
Critique subgroup member: wow- this cake is just incredible- the only critique I can think of, which is just plain picky, is that you needed your lines on the wall to be more even and straight. Other than that, this is just awesome- your detail is fantastic!
OMG ! She must have LOVED IT !! TERRIFIC job !

Very cute. Great detail to everything. How did you get all the balls are so perfect and the same size??
So creative, everything looks fantastic!
Hi, and thanks. For the balls, I just pinched off a bit of fondant, taking or leaving a bit to match the others.
Great job! How did you make the cradle? It's perfect.

Thanks, melmcgill. I molded the cradle from a chocolate mold.
