This cake was made for a moms club party in my area and all the figurines were hand sculpted in fondant. What I do is make the faces and the bodies in advance and put them on the cake when they are hard. The last thing I do is add leggs and arms. Good luck!

khr7r4nume8iu,de8iru,e9di4e93i4 (...) Okay, my 3-year-old daughter must have made a comment under my name. But I will interpret what she is trying to say: "HOLY CR#&@P. THIS CAKE LOOKS DEEWISHUS!!!" this is how she says "delicious" Ha-Ha. Seriously, how can you possibly put a price tag on this cake?

I can't stop looking at your cakes. I have spent the last 10 minutes bothering my husband with, "Just LOOK at these cakes!!!!!!!!!! This lady is amazing!" He agrees.

I am making a Sesame Street cake for my nephew this weekend and would like to do something different than buttercream icing. I have never used fondant but have always wanted to try it. Is it difficult to teach myself in a week how to use it or should I stick to regular buttercream? Great cake by the way! sarahc

Hi Sarah, thanks for the comments. If it is your first time, you could try doing just the figurines in fondant. You can buy the one that comes ready. For the cake you could use buttercream since you are already familiar with it. Start by using it on figurines... that is how I started. It looks more complicated than it really is...
