Fondant Drapes With Gumpaste Hydrangeas

This is a commitment cake for my good friends Tom and Keith, being married today. 14', 10". 6". Assorted fillings and flavors. Iced in Italian meringue buttercream. Fondant drapes and gumpaste Hydrangeas.

This is beautiful... I'm sure they loved it too. What is the difference between italian meringue buttercream and Swiss meringue buttercream?? Sorry for my ignorance....

Thank you. The difference in the two types of meringue icing is the way in which they are prepared. SMBC the egg whites are heated with the sugar, IMBC the sugar is cooked to a syrup and then beaten into the stiff egg whites.
