Amazing!!! Im speechless!, it is so lifelike!
I love this bible cake! I love this bible!!! I use it daily! My son said to give you an A+!!!
I happen to own a copy of that Bible, what a great look a like.
That is wonderful!!! It looks just like my field service Bible!
Jejeje...you too ;-) There are others here too...
Another Stunner!!! This is an awesome cake, Godiva, great job.
Absolutely unreal! How did you do the words, oh please tell me!
Secret secret, I've got a secret...
This cake has amazed me like no other one before! No doubt GOD has blessed you with an incredible talent.
Fantastic! I would love to know how you did the lettering too.
Awesome! I too am in awe of the lettering.
Since Godiva doesn't seem willing to share her secrect on the lettering, I am going to guess that it is stenciling done with a luster dust! Too bad she doesn't feel like sharing since that what the website is all about!!!
I thought I was being cutesy with that reply...My plans were to build a pictorial how to with this cake, but I have not had a chance to bake anything at all. I'm sorry you felt that way MrsMissey. And it's not a stencil, it's actually a silk screen that I had made at art store. I'll be posting more details when I have time for it. Thank you all for you kind comments.
MrsMissey, lighten up, Godiva's response seemed like a 'jokey-reply' to me. Maybe my sense of humor is more KEEN than others but we still need not be offended. I'm glad you did share your method, Godiva, I was also going to try the stencil-approach. Still, both suggestions seem like great approach to this beautiful cake. Thank you both!
I would like the to know how you made the filling & fondant also. How long was the entire process? It's am aawesome likeness, but I'm not sure what a "new world translation is". Who did you make it for?
It's a bible I made for some friends...The filling is like a custard based cream, that is then whipped with butter...You can easily find a recipe either here or online...The fondant is pre-made chocolate fondant, that was rolled out and then cut to shape...
Absolutely stunning cake!!Great for a church function etc...
just like the others have said, this is cute, beautiful, gorgeous................and can go on and on..... simply the best. Great job!!!
we have one too, and very real looking.... great job
Nice...where r you from dky?
How can you fill w/ fresh strawberries and cover in fondant? Do you refrigerate your cakes covered in fondant?
No...I do not refrigerate once covered...The fondant pretty much preserves all thats inside much longer...This cake I filled the day before I believe...
sydney australia.... but slack if you know what I mean
