This is my county fair entry for the 2 layer decorated birthday cake category, it is a scratch chocolate mayonnaise cake with chocolate syrup frosting and fondant accents, my first purse cake. I now know that I should have used a crusting buttercream recipe because I have to display the cake in a resealable plastic bag which smooshes my icing, ugh!
