25Th Anniversary
I made this for my Best Friends 25th Anniversary Party. The cake is Neopolitan iced in Buttercream. The shells and coral are white chocolate dusted with Luster Dust and the sand is graham cracker crumbs and brown sugar. I got so many great ideas from the photos on Cake Central. You all are such an inspiration!!!
So very beautiful and elegant! Mmmm neapolitan cake sounds delish!
love it too!! Just realised not good to look at this site if one is hungry!!!!
I didn't completely mix the color all the way through the icing. I thought it would give a neat effect and look like water. Thanks for looking!
All the shells are made from a chocolate mold by Wilton. It was rather hard to find. I finally found this mold at a Party place here in Birmingham.
I am impressed that the shells are chocolate...they look real to me...

Very pretty!
Did you pain the buttercream? Or was the blue just not mixed all the way through when you iced it? Great effect!
I think you did a great job on this cake. I especially like the pearly shimmer on the shells. It really adds elegance to the entire piece.

Very pretty, I love beach cakes. (I guess cause I live near one  ) Did you make the pearls or did you buy them? Just wondering since I have a wedding cake coming up with the same pearl effect.
love the effect you achieved from not mixing the color all the way into the icing. very nice touch. looks fantastic!
The pearls are fondant that I made into balls, let dry and then dusted with luster dust. They were really pretty up close and looked great against the aqua.
Beautiful! The shells and coral are perfect!
