I so much appreciate your comments. For some reason the description isn't showing up. This is a dummy cake that I'm using for a silent auction for the Florida Baptist Children's Home. I'm donating a wedding cake and wanted to have something to show at the auction.
The flowers are 50/50 fondant and gumpaste. My husband calls the larger flowers "poinsiettas". They are made like a lily but I used pearls for the centers and lightly brushed them with white luster dust with pink luster dust at the centers. Same with the "fantasy" roses.
Again, Gorgeous cake. Wonderful job!!! I only hope it brought in the money it should have!
That is absolutely gorgeous. And what a generous gift for the auction.
:o woweee , stunning cake! Absolutely gorgeous and would be a wonderful prize!
Absolutely beautiful. What types of flowers did you use.

Update...the gift certificate for a wedding cake brought $400.00 for the Children's Home at the silent auction.

Stunning. My first thought - dream cake - just beautiful. Looks like something out of a dream - well done!
When I fist saw it I pictured it in a soap opera "dream sequence" I think the picture you took of it also help that along. So striking!
