Silky Swiss Dots

Silky Swiss Dots on Cake Central

Wedding cake I made for this past weekend. Plain, simple, easy, elegant. Buttercream on the outside - the inside was white velvet cake with hazelnut. This pic is without the bride's antique cake toppers though...

The worst was transporting a buttercream cake in this unreal humidity!

Very Nice! I have a similar cake to make...mind if I ask how you got the bottom ball borders to not have pokey ends? flatten them with your finger?

ntertayeme - I will share the recipe! -- I will type it up as soon as I get home. Lori83179 - the ball borders are way easier when the icing is a meringue buttercream - the balls don't get the pointy things. But with a confectioner's sugar based icing, I find I always need to push them in a little.
