Asian Themed Wedding With A Celtic Twist

Asian Themed Wedding With A Celtic Twist on Cake Central

i made this one for my sister's wedding. She was having a theme wedding but wanted a bit of the irish heritage of the groom added into the cake. The bottom layer was 6" tall ginger cake and the other layers were 5" tall decadent chocolate. All iced in butterscotch flavored buttercream and covered in homemade fondant. Fondant was not cooperating as it was a modified recipe using agar-agar instead of knox gelatin. It definately made a difference in workability and wasn't as smooth as I would have liked.

Great job, cake-angel! Really love the culture-blending you did on this cake! The pagoda and dragons are perfect, and HOW in the world did you get the knotwork so crisp? Would you please PM me w/ instructions? Thanks in advance, and KUDOS to you! ;-D
