Just Practice

Just Practice on Cake Central

I had a 10 inch cake iced and ready to cover with fondant for class, then found out class was cancelled. I hadn't taken the time to do the final smoothing so ignore the wrinkles. Instead of letting it go to waste I thought I would practice some different techniques. My first time trying cornelli lace and freehand scrolls. I'd love some constructive criticism on my technique! It's just practice, I only spent a half hour on it, so you won't hurt my feelings! lol

I think it looks lovely. The only comment I would make is to maybe make the cornelli design a little closer together.Love the scrolls.

i was actually thinking i liked the way your cornelli lace was a bit loose. i think it worked since you used a small tip. very pretty.

It's hard to tell what tip you used, but I think it's a 2. That's good. Depending on what occasion it is for you can do cornelli exactly as you did or for a more formal, elegant look make it tighter:) Your scroll work is great - I'd say perfect.
