very unique idea! everything is nicely spaced. I might have lightened the colors up a bit, and as already stated, probably chosen a diffent cover for the cake board, less busy and a tone of a color used on the cake.
great design and use of bold dark colors. I think the border clashes a little with the darker colors, but it doesn't seem to take away from the 'wow' of the design at all!
