Pink/ivory Variation 1

Pink/ivory Variation 1 on Cake Central

I'm playing about with dummies & have 9 variations for this cake. Not sure I'll get through all 9 as they'll get marked from each previous one but I'll see how far I get!

I'm not normally a pink loving gal, but this cake is SO pretty-I absolutely LOVE it!! Very pretty variation in colors and simple decorations make this a beautiful cake to be proud of!!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. This is a fairly new hobby for me that I'm really enjoying! MrsAB- for the centres I used my ball tool to create some circular indentations and then I made ivory & gumpaste balls of varying sizes. I stuck them in plastic bags with a little bit of shimmer pink and pearl white luster dust & gave them a shake. I attached them to the centres with edible glue. I did make the mistake of trying to attach one just with water but they went rolling everywhere!

Thanks for the kind comments. mjs4492 - I have no idea as to how most UK people attach ribbon (this is a fairly new hobby for me) - I either use really tiny amounts of edible glue or cheat & use a bit of doublesided cellotape at the back.

Hi Misty! I'm only just here though think I will be more as I'm really enjoying this hobby and am increasingly spending more and more time over here. :D

itsasweetthing - I just used edible glue. I stuck them on last night and so far they are still solid though I don't know how long it'll last.
