I like your idea of using the little paper cone cups to hold up your trees!! I wish I had thought about that when I made my trees! Where did you find them?

I thought it was a good idea too :-) I kept dropping the trees when I was holding them, I had the cups for baking the other trees & the cones fit perfect on top of them WAA LAA! I got the cups from Office Depot or Office Max, can't remember.

Is there cake in the cones? Last year I made the trees using those cone cups to bake little tree cakes in. Then I shaved off the top, flipped them upside down and out poped a little tree cake. I didn't frost theml beautifully like you did, but I just sprinkeled powdered sugar on them (they were dark choc) and arranged them on a pretty tray. They were such a huge hit at our christmans party. I had several people call and ask me how to make them this year.

No there isn't cake in these. The cake ones are in my other pics. I did the fountain cups & drizzled chocolate on them. They baked fine, came out great but my chocolate didn't drizzle like I wanted it to. I think humidity made that happen. :-( Look at the other pics. :-)
