Wallpaper-Inspired Wedding Cake

Wallpaper-Inspired Wedding Cake on Cake Central

I was asked by a bridal magazine to create a cake with a "La Vie en Rose" theme to it this year. Rather than go the traditional route of gumpaste roses, I wanted to do something else. I researched antique French wallpaper patterns that had roses as the prominent theme and came up with designs for this 4-tier wedding cake.

I was so excited to show you guys...but I felt I had to wait until the magazine issue came out this week, just in case it infringed on their publication rules or something! Thanks!!

Beautiful. You chose a great combination...I especially love that third tier, those embroidered roses are gorgeous!

This is the most beautiful, original wedding cake ever. The florals really 'evoke' that French sort of antiquey feel; I just keep staring at it, amazed. LOVE this; if I saw it on a website I'd be beating down your door.

thanks everyone! I've had some great inquiries so far that refer to seeing it in the magazine, so I'm SO pleased!! The tiers are 6"/8"/10"12", but 5" in height each

This is SO pretty. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten MORE attention on here than this. Definitly a very original and beautiful cake. I love every layer.
