They are thick. I made them that way so they would show up better in the pictures. You can make them any thickness you want. However, very thin doesn't work as well.
Wow! I had to go try it!! Pretty cool! I started at the yellow and rolled it pretty tight!! It worked! Cute little roses more real than the whimsy ones but not as good as GP ones but far tastier! THANKS!!!!!!
I watched Duff do this for a group of girl scouts. He brushed a little water on the edges that are overlapped and also in a line down the middle of all three circles.
Thank you so much! I have bee in rose H**L! Until now that is, I just made a dozen or so in minutes! I can not believe how easy they are to make and cute they are. After cutting them out I used a fondant tool with a ball on the end and ran it around each circle to thin the edges and they are great! I can not wait to put them on a cake! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D
 When I saw the thumbnail for this I literally thought "Oh wow somebody did a Scream cake.... wonder why it is upside down??" Thanks again for doing this! I am excited to use this sometime! I enjoyed eating the two I practiced with last night!

i also thought this was a scream cake at first. How thick and what size are the circles. also did you use fondant or gumpaste and did you glue the circles together? sorry for all the questions
Marthajo1: Ha Ha! That's a scream!
Is it just me, or do they look awfully thick for roses?

Thanks for taking the time to post.
they are so cute thanks for sharing..
Cool! I'm such a visual learner. This is a great help!
Which side do you start from? The yellow or the bottom and roll all 3 at the same time?
Start at the yellow and roll toward the aqua.

Thanks for posting that but for all us dumb bells I think the illustration should be followed by at least one more!
Sorry, someone in a forum was asking and didn't understand so I whipped this out on Photoshop. Perhaps when it isn't midnight I will do a better one.

Thanks so much for doing this. I say this somewhere else, but the directions were not at all clear. This is just excellent. :)

This is the coolest! I just made a whole bunch and can't wait to decorate a cake w/ them!! :D
Thanks for posting the illustration! I was rolling them the wrong way, but I've goy it now. This is the coolest!!! :) :)
Does it matter in which direction it is rolled?? The colored diagram says it should be rolled the other direction?? :? :?
Try both ways and see which one works best for you.
I saw the same episode and I have found the water isn't necessary with MMF. Perhaps the fondant he uses needed it.
Can someone post a picture of the completed flower? I can't quite visualize how it would look. Thanks.
I would love to "get it" More info would be great!
