Remy/ratatouille
WBH white cake: three 6" rounds, each torted and filled with ShirleyW's mock bavarian cream. Iced in ganache bc, covered in choc. mmf & painted with copper luster dust. Fondant deco's in soup, gumpaste handles and "wood" spoon, and 50/50 Remy. The ladle was gumpaste and was originally upright, but it broke. The burner grill is REAL (from my stove!) as is the parsley. The fondant is already bulging, and fell off 6 hours later (Cake Disasters thread)! There's also a closeup of Remy in my photos. TFL.
such a shame that this cake fell because it is FABULOUS! remi is a masterpiece and the soup...so realistic, the copper pot, wow, you did an excellent job!

I'm sorry you had so much troubel with the cake. It turned out to be AWESOME looking!!! What a great idea to use the stove burner! I love the wooden spoon handle and ladle, too. Of course, Remy is just adorable!!! He looks just like the little guy in the movie!!!
