I also have an elmo lover in the house who just turned one and I didn't get that much effort into my daughter's cake. thanks for your nice comments!! I used one big plastic dowel rod in the middle and then two wooden dowels next to it for more support. the cake elmo is sitting on is a dummy cake, so I think that really helped with the weight of him. the arms are marshmallows on thick wire
