Tiara Cake

Tiara Cake on Cake Central

Simple little 6in tiara cake. Vanilla cake filled with white chocolate buttercream. Covered in fondant dusted with super pearl lustre dust, and finished with edible pink pearls, marabou feather trim and bought tiara. The second cake for my friend's daughter (the Bambi cake uploaded earlier today is for the main party tomorrow - and took 3 times as long as this one!), for the family tea on Sunday.

beautiful!!!!! Did you put anything under the feathers on the top??? or do the feather "hairs" not get into the cake because it's fondant???? Do you have to remove the trim on the cake board before cutting the cake???

No, I didn't put anything under the feathers, but I do let it harden a little bit before adding the trim. Any stray feathers will just brush/blow off. The trim is just laid around the cake, not fixed at all, so it'll be easy to remove before cutting it (recommended!).

I've never seen anything like it. This is spectacular and very imaginative. All the little tweeners in my life would just die. Great cake!
