These were inspired by the ones on the Wilton contest website. I made 6 assorted ones in different designs and colors, but this one was my favorite. A lot of work but a lot of fun to do.
I love this it is so cute. I have on more question, that gold like cute holder the ball is sitting in is a cupcake bottom? Did you luster it in Gold? I think you did a great job :) Cheers
A skimpy cupcake with a mini ball (half ball) covered in fondant. I can't remember the name of the person who posted the instructions I used! I'm sorry!
I made tiny sausages of fondant, shaped them in a loop, and let them dry before inserting them into the fresh fondant hanger thingy. mnmmommy is one person who posted instructions for these. Thank you!!
I made a short barrel shape of fondant and poked a hole in it for the loop to go in, and later on, came back with royal icing and piped the fancy part on the bottom of it.

Wow, this looks EXACTLY like some ornaments I got from TJ Maxx for my blue and silver christmas tree this past year. I saw the picture when I was looking at your sculpted dogs and immediately had to look at it. The resemblance is amazing. It looks really real!
Cover Wilton mini ball cake with fondant, place on flat cupcake with icing between them, dust heavily with luster dust and decorate.
beautiful!!! very cool! how'd you make the fondant hanger thingy - not the loop but what the loop is on [email protected]

The cupcake on the bottom is in a metallic gold wrapper. I bought some silver ones but the gold ones looked better.
That is awesome!! I have to do some in two weeks. I hope can pull them off then perfectly!!
That is too pretty to let anyone eat it.
Gorgeous!!
GORGEOUS!! It is so pretty!! Love it!!
how did you cover the whole thing in fondant and keep the bottom looking nice?
The bottom looks sort of rough, but the decorations and luster dust hide the messy bits.
