Cake for my father-in-law's 60th Birthday, It is chocolate cake, bottom tier filled with white chocolate ganache, top tier filled with whipped cream. All covered in chocolate ganache and chocolate mosaic pieces. Chocolate and white maltesers for the borders.
LOVE IT!!!
Very lovely cake; original; I love it!! How did you do the #'s? What consistensy was the ganache, did it run down the sides of the cake??
I piped the numbers with melted choc, including a 'base' which I wedged into the top of the cake and surrounded with maltesers to hide it (used edible glue to keep them in place). The ganache was pourable when I put it over the top, but didn't run far down the sides. Once the ganache has set a bit more I slapped it around the sides (didn't have to be very neat as the mosiacs covered it). For the ganache around the cake board I piped it using the icing tip (just got it and love it!)
That's beautiful and looks SO delicious!!!
I love the chocolate mosaic tiles, I have seen them used a few times on here...soooo pretty!
Fab! All that chocolate looks like heaven
Oh my mouth is drooling. LOL Love this cake!!
