As I place each loop, I hold it for little while until it's supported, and if need be ,I use a little tissue paper to hold it in place. Since this, I have used the technique using a 5-6" cake pan to build the bow in, which worked nice. This is actually the first time I used this tool to create the 'quilt' pattern...I free handed ithe pattern after covering the cake.
