Wedding Cake For Graduation From Wilton Master Decorating Class

Wedding Cake For Graduation From Wilton Master Decorating Class on Cake Central

Wow...the 2 weeks flew by and we comleted our final cakes today. We created our own design and I did this Victorian type because my daughter love all things Victorian and she was so supportive and encouraging of my attending this course. It was worth every penny and every minute. I have so much more confidence. We were a mottly crew that turned out some fabulous cakes. As soon as I get permission from others to post their cakes, I'll do so.

This is beautiful!! I'm finishing up my course 3 class and hope to take a master's course soon. One thing will always allude me though, frosting a square cake, I just can't seem to get the edges right no matter what I do. I'm envious, you did a fantastic job!!

Hey, in only four days your cake is already a favorite of 6 users! You are some fast worker! You did a wonderful job! Must have been the inspiring gals around you in class!

Thanks so much. The edges are difficult. Debbie taught us not to stop right at the corner when smoothing. Keep going around the edge to the other side. It takes a lot of practice, that's for sure.

This is so gorgeous. I am not a fan of green normally but this is wonderful. Love the roses, the string work and the shape.

You really did an amazing job! What are the roses sitting on, on top of the cake? They look beautiful and perfectly placed.

The roses are make with royal icing and dried ovenight. Then they are "glued" with royal icing to a 1/2 ball of styrofoam. In the spaces between the roses, I put little rose buds and sweetpeas that we had made and dried several days before.
