Portsmouth Vs Green Softball

Portsmouth Vs Green Softball on Cake Central

I did this cake for a "pinic game" under the lights. Everyone had a great time during the pinic waiting for the sun to go down and then played a great game of softball under the lights.

I made my own stencil from a pic printed off the internet. And then traced it on the cake and filled in with frosting.

Actually I print the picture on a sturdy piece of paper, a little thick than copy paper, (I have actually used just regular copy paper also but the stencil is generally ruined after one use), and then I take an Exacto knife or razor blade and cut out the details that I want to show on the cake. I then place the stencil on the cake and use a needle to lightly "draw" the picture into the frosting after it has crusted. I use a needle because it is much smaller than a toothpick.

Did you pipe in stars for the filling in? Can't really tell from the picture. Looks really great.

Yes, I used star, tip 16 I think. I did the outline of the mascots in the stars and then filled in with stars also. Thanks for the wonderful comments.
