Lattice Daisy Cake

Lattice Daisy Cake on Cake Central

First time doing this type of decoration, and maybe the last...took about 1.5 hours to set up; the lattice pieces were made of royal ahead of time and most of them fit very well (haha!) Daisies looked kinda like all the leftovers from the bouquets, mostly wilted and already bruising, but we made them do. Im hoping for better results if done in the future for this cake, so if anyone has some suggestions, I would appreciate it!

Looks wonderful! I love it! There is a new way to do lattice with fondant in the Celebrate with Fondant book by Wilton, I'm sure it would work, but yours is beautiful!

I don't know if you did this or not, but when decorating with fresh flowers, I always use the flower cones that push into the cake and then can be filled with a little bit of water. they will hold the flowers and keep them fresh all day.

Your cake is beautiful. I love the lattice. A suggestion for the daisies - you could make gumpaste daisies. It would take some time but they won't wilt!
