Country Baby Bath - Front View!
I was up all night making this cake...but I feel it was worth it! It was created for a western and rubber ducky themed baby shower. The men, women and children were all invited. The tables were decorated in denim with red bandana runners. In the center of the tables were mason jars, decorated with rubber ducks and filled with daisies. So, I got all the elements in the cake. It was a huge hit when I dropped it off!
Great Job. That is one awesome cake.
Wow that's amazing I love it...can you describe your process a bit more?
Unbelievable!!
This is really cute! I know how much work must have gone into it. You should be very happy with the outcome. The water coming out of the pump looks great! I know it's piping gel, but how did you get it to keep its shape like that? amazing!
That is SO creative and absolutely adorable! What a labor of love.
WOW! now that is inspiring! oh PLEASE share how you did that a little more.
Wow! How did you do the water?

I love this cake! It is incredible!!!
awesome job! how did you do the pouring water coming out of the pump?
Thanks for all the lovely comments. You are very nice. Water pouring from spout is pulled sugar with clear piping gel on it.
Awesome cake!
shannan0007, the pump is actually Rice Krispie Treats shaped around a wooden dowel that was inserted into the cake board. (Not an easy task mind you!) The water going from the spout to the cake is actually pulled sugar with piping gel over it. (My friend owns a candy store and she did the pulled sugar! I, personally, have no clue as to sugar pulling! LOL)
AMAZINGLY wonderful. I am sure it was a great hit.
Wow! It is amazing!!
Amazing! Can't believe this is a cake!
WOW!!! Now this is an amazing cake! Great work!! maybe some time you will be able to enter this photo into a contest :)
Great cake! I read all the posts about how to do the water...how did you actually end up doing it?
WoW!!! This is great...You have to share the instructions on this one...PLEASE!!!
I put MMF on the top of the cake, distressed it a bit, colored it a shade darker than the outside slats, then let it dry. After it dried I applied clear piping gel all over it. I sure wish I hadn't attempted the bubbles though, I don't like the way they turned out in the photo. Course, when looking at the cake, first hand, they looked all right. I guess that is what matters, right?? LOL
This is the GREATEST! How did you do the water from the pump to the tub? Sorry, I guess I should read all of the above before asking questions. I see your answer.
Excellent work!!!! I love your cakes!!

i am truly amazed at your work. you have my utmost admiration. if you don't mind me asking, how much did you charge for such a cake? it must've been expensive (but well worth it, don't get me wrong). if you feel it's too private a question but wouldn't mind answering, just PM me please. i'm nowhere near your creativity, skill, talent, and patience regarding making cakes but i would appreciate a price guide. thanks and more success to you!

amazing just amazing
this has got to be one of the cutest and unique baby cakes i've ever seen.
You are so funny, cookinmamma! Actually the cake comes up to approx. 3/4" from the top slate. The cake is colored with fondant (just a tad darker than the fondant used on the sides of the barrell), it is then coated with clear piping gel, giving it the illusion that the water is filling up the barrell. Soooooo, who's doing the dishes tonight? LOL
OK, first off...great job. Secondly hubby and I do not agree...is the "water" lower than the top of the slats or not? He says it is deep, I say it is the same level. Thanks for your help in settling our little dissagreement. LOL.
8O
