Beer Tub Cake
Thank You so much CC'rs for all of the advice and inspiration for this cake!! it was a huge hit at this summertime party I went ti a few weeks back. It is fondant covered with petal dust for shimmer. The bottles are made from poured sugar and the ice is unflavored gelatine although next time I will be using poured sugar as well. The gelatine started to melt sooner than I had hoped for. It didn't affect the cake though!!
That is amazing! At first I was trying to figure out how you got ice and bottles in there! LOL
great job!.....really does look realistic....all icy!
This is a great cake
you should be proud. what a wonderful cake!!

those bottles even look frosty! great job and I love it on the pretty serving platter!
Amazing! The beer bottles are incredible, I thought they were real. recently I made a cake that was a bowl of japanese udon soup and I used unflavored gelatin for the "broth", it totally melted all over the place, a huge mess. luckily it was for a friend's dinner party and not a paying customer. Next time I will use piping gel instead of gelatin. Did you use a mould for the bottles?
