This cake was made last minute for a little boy's third birthday party. I used a 9x13 for the base and carved the shape and then used 1/2 of the Wilton sports ball pan for the top. The icing didn't turn out the way I wanted since it was the boxed mix. The red seemed to make it a bit runny, but the shine worked well. I'm not an expert, but it was fun to do and fun to see the reaction of the kids at the party (especially when a firetruck showed up as a bonus!)
