Dump Truck Cake
Almost ended up as a 'DUMP' cake, notice how the icing melted down everywhere? 105 degree heat and I FORGOT to turn on my REAR air in my Durango...after all that work! Fortunately, they loved it anyway and didn't notice the problems with it, they thought it was great.
Good job. I have to make one for this weekend. How did you cute the cake to look like a truck?
I used a 9x13 cake, leveled, cut in half (two 9x 6.5") and layered them together, then I used a 6x6 square cake, leveled to cut my cab and the front end. But since then I've found this site, check out the fire trucks, looks like that is an easier method and your wheels would look better
