Good job! Saw your other HP cake -- you must've had a great time making them! I've always wanted to make a broom, but the idea of carving just intimidates me.
The broom stick was a narrow loaf pan and the "broom" was made from a square cake (two layers). I turned it so it was a diamond and trimmed the top corner to match the width of the "stick" than I just rounded out the sides to meet at the bottom corner. It was very simple. Thanks for the feedback.
