I love the way you did the strips down the cake.. What did you use to do that? I like the angle you used for the flowers too.. really different and sets you cake design apart from the norm .. great job!
To make the stripes I used a Wilton tip #45. I had to make two stripes side by side and then soften the line with cornstarch after it had crusted a bit. The purple swirls help to hide that! At this going away party another person liked this cake so much that she asked me to make another one for her parents' anniversary. I bought a Wilton tip#1D for the stripes on that one. Made the job a bit easier!
