I just had a call for a rehearsal dinner cake such as this. This really will help me. Did you use petiscide free flowers? I'm concerned about putting them directly on the cake as I've only used edible flowers in the past. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I love it.

Getting ready to do a fall anniversary cake and not in the mood to do flowers. Never thought of the silk flower angle! THANKS!!

The flowers on the cake are silk. You could use flower spikes for real flowers....and you shouldn't use any flowers with powdery stamens. Some of these are toxic and should not be used. HTH. Thanks Tina
