Bridal Dress Cake With 2 Present Cakes - Main Picture

Bride ordered a replica of her dress and 2 present cakes. The bodice(from waist up) is styrofoam. See my other picture of dress before fully decorated for structure. Dress is covered with fondant and luster dusted with a maroon luster dust.

Wow, I can't believe this is even possible to make. The draping is amazing. Absolutely love the detail on the present cakes too.

Thanks for wonderful comments. I made hat molding a dough of 75% gumpaste and 25% fondant over Wilton 5 inch ball mold(dusted heavily with cornstarch before placing dough on top of it). This got me the hat center. I used the PME 20" deep impression basketweave rolling pin to get weave design. When I purchased it, it was $40. After hat center dried, rolled out more dough, textured it, cut out a doughnut shape, place around outside of hat center, did small sponges placed under brim to get rippl...

the clips were made from a section of one of the Baroque gumpaste molds by wilton. It is from the Regalia set of molds.
