Sugar Bottles

Sugar Bottles on Cake Central

My first beer bottle cake! This was terrifying, difficult and really rewarding. If you attempt it, please wear leather gloves and keep everyone out of the kitchen. The ice is Knox gelatin with half of the water. I added a little flavor and sugar to make it tastier. It didn't melt until I put it next to the bottles...then I started getting a little brown pool. Don't let it touch! The cake is iced with buttercream and sprayed with Silver Shimmer airbrush color by Lucks. I got it at Cakedeco.com.

These bottle cakes amaze me and yours is excellently executed! Love the idea of silver for an airbrush; I'll have to check into that because I also love shopping at cakedeco.com! I think I'm too afraid of hot sugar to attempt this though. :-O :-) Wonderful work girlie.
