these r a new fav of mine (& others).....this batch turned out the best so far.....for my son's class since today is his 7th bday.....yellow cupcake bun, chocolate cake moistened with choc. syrup to form patties.....MMF cheese & lettuce.....BC ketchup & mustard....TFL!
Very nice. The cakes look so much like burger buns. How did you get the shape so perfect? usually cupcakes are not so rounded on the top and they get get narrower at the bottom.
mridula - it was by accident, for whatever reason when i bake cupcakes without liners using cake release, they bubble up like that and the top edge gets darker and more done....then i can just pull the edge off of the top after cutting them in half....u can kind of see where the edge has been torn off....does that make sense?
Oh for the love of all that is sweet. These are incredible :o

u ladies r awful! have to admit - i got a lil thrill outta posting these this time! all u do for the patties is mash up some choc cake scraps (i freeze mine) with a hand held potato masher or whatever....add the syrup until it's moist enuff to form patties and tada! :D
