This is perfect for the red hat club! i bet they loved it. what color red do you use and what icing? red is such a pain to get. I use americolor and let it sit a bit and just keep adding to it until i like it.

mnmmommy........i use the wilton gel color, it looks alot redder in the picture the it really was. I had such a hard time getting a true red color. i used the buttercream dream icing which everyone really loved it. thank you everyone for all the great comments.

I think you did a great job and red (and black) is one of the hardest colors to achieve. The feather is a nice non-edible addition, but I'm glad you went with the edible pearls!
